Compatibility

Check your iPhone before launch.

Anchor is designed for iPhone and depends on Apple permissions that you approve during setup. Android is not supported at launch.

Designed foriPhone

iOS 18.5 or later · NFC · Screen Time permission

Core requirements

Four things to confirm.

01

iPhone

Anchor does not support Android at launch.

02

iOS 18.5+

Your iPhone must run iOS 18.5 or a later supported release.

03

NFC scanning

The top of the iPhone must be able to read the physical Anchor.

04

Screen Time permission

Apple's authorization is required to apply app and website shielding.

Feet First compatibility

The wake-up path depends on iOS and permission.

Feet First uses a get-up-and-scan wake-up sequence. Anchor uses the strongest supported path available, then falls back to notifications when the system-alarm path is unavailable.

Phone stateWake-up pathRequired permission
iOS 26+ with Alarm permissionSystem alarmAlarm
iOS 26+ without Alarm permissionNotification fallbackNotifications
Supported iOS 18.5–18.xNotification fallbackNotifications
System alarm cannot be scheduledNotification fallbackNotifications

Permission names and availability follow the installed iOS version. Notification delivery also follows your iPhone's notification settings.

Pairing & cases

One paired Anchor per iPhone.

The current app stores one paired Anchor on each iPhone. Pair and Trio are designed for separate people, not multiple rooms for one phone.

Most ordinary cases should leave NFC available, but case material, thickness, magnets, and accessories can affect scan position. Hold the top of the iPhone close to the centre of Anchor and remove obstructive accessories if a scan is inconsistent.
